FundClass
FundClass is an independent European fund rating agency, fully owned by private individuals.
The FundClass analysis process includes four main steps:
- Calculating the risk profile of each European fund using the APT risk model.
- Grouping funds into categories with similar risk levels.
- Ranking the funds according to the best return/risk ratio within the same peer group.
This rating reflects a fund’s ability to consistently outperform or underperform its peer group.
With this comprehensive analysis of the fund market, we assess the overall range of each European asset manager. A quantitative rating is then assigned to each of them.
In addition to rating open-ended funds, FUNDCLASS can also analyze any type of investment mandate upon request.
Clients have access to over 200,000 ISIN codes analyzed.
From the beginning, FUNDCLASS has adopted a clear business model where ratings and opinions are paid for by investors, rather than by the funds or asset managers.

Fair Cost Index
Fair Cost Index (FCI) is a privately-owned company. Its associates and partners have held prominent positions in the European financial industry, which led them to take on the challenges of creating a new European financial services company.
Since their early R&D work, FCI has demonstrated their ability to provide a suitable like-for-like offering that can be substituted for that of the major index providers.
FCI develops and implements a control and monitoring framework for the design, calculation, maintenance and dissemination of the benchmarks it administers. This framework is based on methodologies, policies and procedures, as well as a monitoring system designed to meet the requirements of the European Benchmark Regulation (BMR).
The European Benchmark Regulation requires administrators to be registered with a competent authority. The “Autorité des Marchés Financiers” (AMF) has registered FCI as a benchmark administrator. FCI is also on ESMA’s register of benchmark administrators.
